Community Grants: what you need to know

Community Grant Policy 004/2018 was designed to simplify and standardize the process for non-profit, community and sporting organizations to request Town funding for special projects and events, up to $5,000 per event or organization. There is a total annual maximum of $30,000 available through this program.

The two-tier granting system will allow council to consider major grants (up to $5,000) twice a year: at the end of March and again at the end of September.

Please take note of the following deadlines:

March 31: Spring intake for large grant applications (up to $5,000)
September 30: Fall intake for large grant applications (up to $5,000)

Council will consider minor grant requests (up to $500) throughout the year as requests are received.

Completed applications must be sent to Renée Hartling, Legislative Services Clerk, at or by mail to PO Box 1509, Rocky Mountain House, Alta., T4T 1B2.
