Main Street Conceptual Plan

“The Town’s consultant for the Main Street Improvements project has completed the final report titled “Our Main Street – Conceptual Plan”. Please find a copy of the link here:
Main Street Conceptual Plan. This final report completes Phase 1 of the Main Street Improvements Project and is on time for the project schedule of:

Phase 1 – Conceptual Designs & Cost Estimates. 2012/2013
Phase 2 – Detailed Engineered Drawings 2014
Phase 3 – Construction 2014/2015

The Phase 1 RFP (February, 2012) set out a thorough public engagement process that included:

1. Site Analysis of existing conditions occurred in late May, 2012
2. “Vision Workshop” with Downtown Stakeholders held in June, 2012
3. “Ideas Workshop” with Downtown Stakeholders held in early October, 2012
4. “Concept Open House” to the general public held on November 7, and 8, 2012.

Results have been collected from the Concept Open House and incorporated into the final report’s concepts. A total of 92 people attended the Open House, and 31 people filled in comment sheets.
