Hiking is not only fun, it is good for you. Hiking gives you the opportunity to stay in good physical condition and also allows you to be outdoors to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There are short trails that the whole family can enjoy as well as longer trails for the seasoned pro. With so many places to hike, you'll have no trouble at all finding the trail that is right for you.

Historic Park

Hours: 10 am-5 pm 7 days a week (reduced hours after Labour Day)
Notes: Interpretive display area, theatre, helpful, knowledgeable staff, trade room, short trail of 1.5 km includes 8 audio guides and illustrated panels, long trail of 3.5 km includes the original fort site, gift store, free Labrador tea and demonstrations (visitors are encouraged to participate) assorted historical leaflets and ethno botanical information, play fort and more!
Fees: Adult: $3.90, Seniors: $3.40, Children 7 to 17: $1.90 (6 and under free)

Annual passes available, as are Western National Parks and an Alberta Heritage Super pass for all National Historic and Provincial Historic Sites in Alberta.

Location: About 20 km N of the tracks at Leslieville on Secondary Highway 761
Notes: Please call ahead. 1,200 different items on display representing about 8,500 years of local native history, all items catalogued by Alberta Culture Archaeologists, land located at the junction of several ancient trails.
