Members are appointed at Council's Organizational Meeting each October, or throughout the year as vacancies arise.

Current Vacancies
Clearwater Regional FCSS Board | 1 Member
The Clearwater Regional Family & Community Support Services Board requires one (1) public member to fill a vacating position. The Member must be a resident of the Town of Rocky Mountain House or be employed in the Town of Rocky Mountain House. The position will advise the FCSS program including determining the needs of community, being aware of resources, and reviewing funding applications.
The Board meets approximately ten times a year on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, excluding July and August at 12:00 Noon. This is a three (3) year term commencing November 1, 2024.

Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) | 1 Member
The Town of Rocky Mountain House invites applications for one (1) public member at large from the Town. Members for the board must be a resident of the Town of Rocky Mountain House or “principally” employed in the Town of Rocky Mountain House. The Municipal Planning Commission hears and rules on applications pertaining to the Land Use Bylaw.
The Commission meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 8:30 AM, as needed. This is a one (1) year appointment commencing November 1, 2024.

Policing Committee | 2 Members
The Rocky Mountain House Policing Committee requires two (2) public members to advise of local policing matters, as per the Policing Bylaw 2018/26V. The Member must be a resident of the Town of Rocky Mountain House, present a clean criminal record check and take an Oath of Office.
Meetings are held every two months, times and locations to be determined. The term for the Committee is a maximum of three (3) years, commencing November 1, 2024.

Rocky Mountain House/Clearwater County Health Professionals Engagement Team | 2-4 Members
The Rocky Mountain House/Clearwater County Healthcare Professionals Engagement Team requires two to four (2-4) public members. The Members must be residents of the Town of Rocky Mountain House. This position will assist in building a sustainable system for physician recruitment and retention that will ensure ongoing physician and other health services to the community.
The Board meets on the first Wednesday of the month, excluding July and August. This is a two (2) year appointment commencing November 1, 2024.

Rocky Public Library Board | 1 Member
The Town of Rocky Mountain House invites applications for one (1) public member at large to sit on the Library Board. The Board provides governance for the Town of Rocky Mountain House Library. Library Board trustees serve three-year terms with an option to reapply. Trustees may serve for no more than three consecutive three-year terms. Interim appointments are not included in calculating length of terms. A trustee who has served three consecutive three-year terms is not eligible for re-appointment for a period of one year following the end of the third term.
Meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of every month, excluding July and August, at 7 p.m. This is a three-year appointment commencing Jan. 1, 2025.

Rocky Senior Housing Council | 1 Member
The Town of Rocky Mountain House invites applications for one (1) public member at large to sit on the Rocky Senior Housing Council. The Rocky Senior Housing Council has a mandate to provide affordable housing for senior citizens who are functionally independent with the assistance available through existing community-based services and who would not be more appropriately provided for in a health care facility. The Council provides governance of Westview Lodge and five self-contained senior residences in the area.
Meetings are held the third Thursday of every month at 9:00 AM. This is a two (2) year appointment commencing November 1, 2024.

Youth Advisory Council | 5 to 8 Members
Members will provide advice and recommendations to Council on issues and opportunities involving or affecting Youth in our community. This is an excellent opportunity for Youth to become involved in and learn about local government! Applicants must be enrolled in a local school (or home education) between Grade 8 and Grade 12.
Meetings are held every two months. This is a two (2) year appointment commencing November 1, 2024. A Bursary is available for members who serve their full term.
