The Strategy outlines short and long-term tactics that support the community's strengths and lay the groundwork for more considerable opportunities.

Economic Development Partnerships

Stronger Together Economic Development with Clearwater County

The Economic Development departments for the Town of Rocky Mountain House and Clearwater County have jointly launched an online Business Development Tool Kit to help existing and potential businesses. Tourism: David Thompson Country      

David Thompson Country is Alberta’s newest tourism region, formed and named through the joint efforts of the Town of Rocky Mountain House, the Village of Caroline and Clearwater County and the two local Chambers of Commerce. In 2017 the regional partners conducted a Visitor Friendly Assessment. The Central Alberta Destination Management Plan (2015) provides a road map for tourism growth in our region.

Central Alberta Economic Partnership (CAEP)

The Town of Rocky Mountain House is a member of the Central Alberta Economic Partnership (CAEP). CAEP is a regional economic development alliance of 42 members and 14 associate members that serves as a model for collaborative community economic development in Central Alberta.
