The Town is seeking an energetic, dynamic individuals for the position of Senior Lifeguard. 

1 Permanent Full-time Position

1 Casual Position

The successful candidates will be strongly devoted to public service, be team orientated, innovative and result driven. This person will be part of a great team in providing good public relations, lifeguarding, quality instruction, water chemistry readings, procedures of cash register and janitorial duties at the Aquatic Centre.

You will be working in a vibrant community of 6,800 at the doorstep to the Rocky Mountains and outdoor adventure. We have all the amenities and more. Living in Rocky Mountain House you can experience live arts, concerts, all sports or belong to one of the multiple community organizations. Town amenities include the Christenson Sports and Wellness Centre, the Credit Union Co-op Aquatic Centre, skateboard park, ball diamonds, parks, extensive trail system and playgrounds. Your co-workers are focused on providing great public service and having fun while doing so.    

As a key player in our team you will have or willing to achieve the following qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Minimum of 3 months experience working at the Rocky Mountain House pool or equivalent experience
  • Must conduct a one-hour staff training in-service
  • National Lifeguard, Swim & Lifesaving Instructor Certifications.
  • Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification is an asset.
  • Aquatic Emergency Care or other workplace approved Standard First Aid and CPR/AED
  • WHIMIS  and OH&S training
  • Jr. lifeguard experience
  • Cash experience

The Town is seeking an energetic, dynamic individual for the position of Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be strongly devoted to public service, be team-orientated, innovative and results-driven. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of the Town's financial system including maintenance and operation of the Town's municipal accounting software and the supervision of finance staff. This includes preparation of financial reporting which includes assisting with year-end audit and budgeting, staff supervision and compliance with legislative requirements.

You will be working in a vibrant community of 6,800 at the doorstep to the Rocky Mountains and outdoor adventure. We have all the amenities and more. As a key player in our team you will have or willing to achieve the following qualifications:

  • Accounting designation or equivalent experience is required. 
  • Post-Secondary Education in business or accounting is required. 
  • Experience in municipal operations & management is desired as well as experience with an accounting firm conducting year ends and audits.
  • Knowledge & experience with large system financial software is an asset, specifically Diamond Municipal Software, Caseware & Questica
  • Strong computer skills in excel and word are required.
  • Self-motivated requiring a minimum of supervision 
  • Ability to deal with staff and the public in an easy and efficient manner
