The Town is seeking an energetic, dynamic individual for the position of Financial Admin Clerk. The successful candidate will be strongly devoted to public service, be team-orientated, innovative and results-driven. This person will be part of a great team answering telephone and in person inquiries regarding utilities, property taxes, animal licensing, etc. and directing calls to the appropriate person. Responsible for accurately cash receipting payments received, balance daily cash receipts and assists with preparation of the bank deposits. 

You will be working in a vibrant community of 6,800 at the doorstep to the Rocky Mountains and outdoor adventure. We have all the amenities and more. Living in Rocky Mountain House you can experience live arts, concerts, all sports or belong to one of the multiple community organizations. Town amenities include the Rocky Regional Recreation Centre, the Co-operative Aquatic Centre, skateboard park, ball diamonds, parks, extensive trail system and playgrounds. As a key player in our team you will have or willing to achieve the following qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 diploma.
  • Accounting and/or office administration education, training, certifications, experience, and/or equivalents are preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience in an office environment, preferably government.
  • Ability to work in a busy office and deal with customers either on the phone or in person in a professional manner.
  • Experience taking payments and reconciling cash is required.
  • Must be able to function effectively in a computerized environment with a broad base knowledge of computer applications. 
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A valid drivers license is required.
  • A criminal record check that is deemed satisfactory by the Town.

The successful candidate will be strongly devoted to public service, be team orientated, innovative and results-driven. This person will be part of a great team in providing good public relations, quality instruction, assist in water chemistry readings, cash register and janitorial duties at the Aquatic Centre.

You will be working in a vibrant community of 6,800 at the doorstep to the Rocky Mountains and outdoor adventure. We have all the amenities and more. Living in Rocky Mountain House you can experience live arts, concerts, all sports or belong to one of the multiple community organizations.
