Residential Solid Waste, organics and curbside recycling is collected by Empringham Disposal.
Wednesday collection route: South of Hwy. 11A (Alternating waste/recycling as of September 5)
Thursday collection route: North of Hwy. 11A (Alternative waste/recycling as of September 5)
Monday collection of organics (green bins) for the entire Town.
Residents must have their bins / recycling bags out no later than 7 a.m. on collection day to ensure pick-up.
Trucks will not return to pick up late bins.
Excess bagged garbage may be taken to the Eco Centre (fees apply).
Excess recycling materials not collected curbside may be taken to the Eco Centre (service included with monthly utility bill; no extra cost)
Large garbage loads must be taken directly to the regional landfill.

Commercial Solid Waste and Recycling
The Town stopped invoicing businesses for commercial waste tonnage in November, 2020. Commercial businesses now have service and billing arrangements directly with commercial haulers.
No commercial waste will be accepted at the Rocky Mountain House Eco Centre. Town businesses are welcome to use the Eco Centre for recycling and diversion programs.
The owners/landlords of Apartment Buildings, Residential Complexes, Mobile Home Parks and multi-plexes not approved for curbside Collection Service must arrange and pay for Waste Material collection services from a private commercial waste hauler, including the payment of any tipping fees to the private commercial waste hauler.
